100th post and The Greige Loft in Amsterdam

Posted January 21, 2010 by Christina

So I had plans for today's post.. but I had to toss those out and show you this beautiful space. I am just in awe! It is the perfect expression of what I think greige is. It is rough, raw, masculine and feminine at the same time, warm and cool, grey but brown, soft yet industrial.. I could go on and on. I could only dream of creating such a beauty. This is an old sugar factory (1763 it was built) turned into a home with the use of Italian Linen draperies and amazing found pieces.

Thank you all for following me here or just stopping by to visit! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy discovering beautiful things to share with you! Here's to 100 more!

Have an amazing day!

Can you even imagine residing in and amongst such raw beauty. This place knocked my socks off the first time I saw it and clearly it still holds its original allure. The last shot is my favorite.

Happy 100! I’m excited to see what you have in store for the next 100 and then some.

happy 100!

this loft is a favorite of mine, too! the designers responsible for it is uxus (www.uxus.com), and they are one of my favorite design studios. i went to a restaurant they designed called ella’s and stood in awe over how they were able to combine so harmoniously all the elements i love (rustic, white, minimal, feminine, elegance). i bet you’ll find more stuff to love on their site.
