I wish it was this beautiful and simple... but now I have a naked grey wall in my dining room and I am still debating on what I will do...

This little beauty

I’m a sucker for the sunburst mirrors.. even just one tiny one in the center of a big wall can add drama. Or a tiny one mounted onto the center of a giant frameless mirror.. good luck!

The station stops trend has peaked; for that kind of $, I don’t think you want to catch a trend on its way down. What you love about the first picture, I think, is the bold horizontal profile that echoes that of the table. I agree with the comment by Studio 13: get a local glass company to cut and install a giant horizontal slab of mirror, then have a craftsman cut and install a surrounding “frame” by laying on sections of crown molding. [Plus, your otherwise darkened wall will suddenly be ignited by reflections.] Have your craftsman build the crown molding up as high or low as you want it to be, then seal or paint. You will have invested less money than half of what one of those station signs costs.

I make those destination signs. Here are a few examples of the ones I’ve made…

I liked your idea of using the zinc clock face on the wall or if it isn’t enough of a contrast try the bus signs, love those.

I’m obsessed with the starburst mirror. I just bought one for over the bed in my guestroom and it’s such a statement piece – the mirror is perfect!

I would go for the signs, they make a statement in the midst of all the browns.

Loving the table alot- it’s gorgeous and it would look amazing in your space. I have never been a huge fan of the starburst mirrors though-not really sure why.

I don’t think words belong on a the dining room wall, fine for the kitchen. The sunburst mirror is lovely.
Have you considered painting the wall in a grey color and then overpainting it in a damask stencil print done in the same color mixed with silver metallic paint? Benjamin Moore makes this product. It would look simply elegant!
I would not paint the wall too dark, whatever you decide. I suggest trying a lighter warm grey paint but darker than the table.

I love the bus station signs, but I lived in London for 4 years, and I am pretty certain the sign on the right is for bus route #32. The bus I took many many times to head to Camden for a night out, or an afternoon at our favorite pub on a Sunday. It would also take me to Notting Hill to buy veg from all the carts. Oh how I miss London.

the transportation signs scream hot decorating trend of 2010- and you may tire of them soon, sunburst mirrors are more classic

Do the signs have some meaning for you? Maybe you could find some with place names that prompt a happy memory or travel wish. Otherwise the sunburst shape of the mirror(s) complements linear table.
Love the Greige! Susan

Sorry. Was so taken by the table that I forgot to give my 2 cents worth..

I still can’t get over the mirror collection you already have. I think it would look fantastic against a grey wall..!
Otherwise, go for the sunburst. I think the scrolls are a little dated now..
