I know some of you don't love exposed storage for your dishes... but look how pretty it can be...

Hi Christina…ya know, growing up my mother had exposed cupboards, which I kind of liked….it’s really sort of a European thing that never really caught on here in the states…perhaps my mother was sort of cultured?… who knew?…maureen

I think everyone with pretty dishes loves open storage in theory. It’s the practice of it that makes us nuts. Wait. I might be projecting. It makes me nuts. Dust oh my yes dust. Don’t forget grease, pre-existing, not to mention overwhelming clutter, and a lack of cleaning staff. It’s enough to makes me want to go hug my cabinet doors…After I open them to look at the lovely dishes inside, of course.

I love exposed storage.. I just don’t like the dust(cause we burn wood) but I use almost all exposed storage anyway. it is just too easy and it makes me feel good!

Love this! I am all about contrast so this looks sooo much better than white dishes with white shelving.
