I wanted to show you a little update on my vintage sofa.  I picked it up a little while back but have not had a chance to take a full picture of it.  I love it- I went with the dark grey linen and added vintage wheels to bring it up a little bit for the room.  I love love it!

What do you think?  Have you had much success with reupholtsering vintage pieces?

Christina,

I LOVE it, it’s gorgeous. I can’t believe it’s the same sofa. I love the vintage wheels that you added, it put the “icing on the cake”.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Magnificent transformation. Oh my kingdom to know where you purchased your casters, I’ve looked high and low online and can’t quite find ones like yours.

Looks FANTASTIC! Love it! I just did a little piece last week by myself. Great to bring new life to vintage pieces.

Classic beauty, and the casters are divine (may I marry them?).

Beautiful!!! When I was a child, my mom took an upholstery class at Orang Coast College, refinished the wood and recovered an old Duncan Phyfe sofa. She did a great job and we had that for oh, so many years. It always looked brand new. I reupholstered it when I was a young bride and then passed it onto my sister-in-law where it was reborn, yet again.
I highly recommend the process with the appreciation for quality of ages past as the starting point!
Great vision, Christina.

The sofa looks perfect and the wheels are inspired – could we see it without the cushions, in its purity?

I upholstered my granny’s old oak chair. I wanted something that would remind me of her so I did a Colefax and Fowler floral. It turned out so well and she would have loved it.
I hope one day when the fabric falls apart one of my grandchildren will give it a new lease on life.
