simple christmas

Posted December 02, 2014 by Christina

I have been thinking of our holiday decorations as of late.. it's really time to get started I know.  For the past few years I have been getting out less and less and this year I really want to simplify the who decor.  I want a really simple tree, more greenery and a clean feeling.  I turned to pinterest to find some inspiration of course..  I fell in love with the trees in baskets, crates and vintage containers.  Around here the trees are very full so I am on the search for something more open and cleaner feeling, we still do a natural tree so I am going to hit some of the local nurseries to see what I can find.  I grabbed the wicker tree skirt that I wanted last year too.

What about you, are you making any changes this year?

I always use real greens on mantel and on table (table ones I cut just before guests arrive and stick a few ornaments throughout and candles). you can see my very simple mantel on my blog today. Pretty photos!

I haven’t started yet, but will this weekend, and I have also been craving a cleaner and less cluttered look. Nice inspiration photos, thanks!
