Giverny France...

Posted June 01, 2011 by Christina

It had been a few years since I had last visited Giverny and Monet's Garden.  It was just as beautiful as I remembered.  We missed the show of the peony and the huge poppies but the tulips were fantastic.
I highly recommend visiting if you are staying in Paris as it is a quick train ride away and will take you to see a totally different way of life in comparison to the city. We arrived on the first train and it was already a bit crowded but I was still able to enjoy the flowers.

Absolutely beautiful. We’re hoping to go to Paris next year and we’re putting this on our list of things to do! Adore the window with iron and vines.

I’ve never been to Giverny- swoon!
The flowers (& photography) are gorgeous.

Is the house pale pink or very pink in person?

Sigh and swoon! Giverny is on my “to do” list.

I just returned from Brittany and Burgandy as well as a few days in Paris. SO good!

Few places in France can be as photographed as Giverny, but your pictures are really outstanding Christina. Love the way the soft focus distorts the silhouettes on the bridge over the lily pond.

I Dream Of

Lovely photos! I spent 10 days in Giverny for a painting workshop too many years ago. It was divine, one of my most treasured memories. We were allowed to paint in the garden after hours and on the day it was closed to the public. It was like living in a Monet painting. Your pictures are bringing me back there. Thanks!

Acquired Objects

I’ve been to Giverny and it is gorgeous but why do the flowers look better in France? Your pictures are pretty amazing!
