Astier de Villatte, Paris

Posted August 06, 2013 by Christina

My deep love for Astier de Villatte is no secret as I have professed it many times..  whenever I am in Paris I visit the store on Rue St. Honore.  It is so dreamy and so simple at the same time.  The stacks and stacks of dishes call my name.  I buy a couple of pieces each time I travel there and it can be really hard to select just the right things.  Sometimes I have been known to visit more than once in a trip.  They had some great new pieces, new collaborations with various artists and many of the classics that I have come to adore.

It is simply amazing and one of the highlights of my trip everytime!

Yes my favorite shop in Paris! I visit at least once on my trips there. Sadly though, I’ve never been able to make up my mind and haven’t really bought much there. Shocking! I worry about them breaking in my suitcase and in all honesty I’m not much of a shopper while traveling because then you have to drag bags around with you all day! one day…..still love to go and LOOK!

I don’t know how you manage to pick only a couple of pieces. What a fabulous selection.

Have they moved? Your photos don’t look like the store I visited. I love their works, but they are super expensive. My favorites are the ones with the little faces on them.

Ashamed to say I’ve never visited this amazing shop when in Paris – perhaps for the best though because I’d want everything! It is hard carrying china about France (we usually head south to visit family after Paris) and then worrying constantly abut breakage.

I want everything in the plate rack…..AND the rack too!!!

Happy day – thanks for taking us here
