5 things: Kara Rosenlund
Posted September 09, 2014 by Christina
The magic of the internet makes this such a small world sometimes, and this is no exception.. I have the pleasure of sharing the amazing talent of Kara Rosenlund
with you today in our 5 things series. Admiring her work
is one of my favorite things to do.. Kara is truly a great inspiration to me. She works as a stylist, photographer and seller of vintage pieces and her taste is perfection.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to be a photographer! I was obsessed with the photographers of the 1960s and I was rarely without my camera when I was a teenager.
Where do you find inspiration?
Nature and through my travels - travel is very important to me. It opens you up to new experiences and ways of life other than your own. And of course the modern day form of travel - Instagram!
Do you work from home? Office? Studio?
I travel extensively with what I do so I tend work wherever there is internet connection, be it a hotel room or the back of a car. When I'm not the road, I'm lucky enough that I'm able to work from home.
Are you a City girl or a Country girl?
I live in the city but my heart belongs in the country! I just love the pace of country life, its people and wholesome way of living and providing.
What are you reading right now?
I just bought a book called Sunday's Kitchen: Food and Living at Heide - a cookbook featuring seasonal cooking and self styled domestic aesthetic by the eccentric Australian artist Sunday Reed. I'm pretty excited.
